"Every Wind Of Doctrine"

Whichever way the wind of popularity blows, so usually goes the general population of the world (John 11:45-48). After all, we don’t want to be classified as the “oddball” who stands out in the crowd do we? (Acts 17:5-6).

Even as members of the Lord’s church, we can sometimes be swayed by the winds of false teaching, if we fail to study and make application of God’s word (Acts 20:29-32; 2 Peter 2:1-3; 2 Timothy 2:15; Hebrews 5:14).

Beloved, let’s not be “tossed to an fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men” (Ephesians 4:14), but “speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ” (Ephesians 4:15; cf. Ephesians 1:22-23; Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18).
