Thoughts On Input And Output

The process of absorbing words and ideas is not unique to just speakers and authors of books. We all take in vast amounts of information every day from various sources. What we “do” with all this input is vitally important. Living in a world-system of godless values, we are bound to encounter a lot of mindless garbage.

If we aren’t discerning, our mind will become defiled. But if we find pleasure in what is “true,” “noble,” “just,” “pure,” “lovely,” and “of good report” (Philippians 4:8), these qualities will be reflected in what we say. Our speech will then be undefiled.

Dear reader, let us commit ourselves to only take in input that is wholesome so that our output will also be wholesome.
