From The Fellowship Room a few years ago, came this question: “Who do you consider to be the most colorful historical figure of all time?”
My response: Not including the Lord, the most “colorful” historical figure of all time, in my view, would have to be Will Rogers, the Oklahoma cowboy whose creed was, “I never met a man I didn’t like” (source).
There's more information about Will Rogers here and here.
Will Rogers catches my attention because of his “down-to-earth” common sense philosophies and his love of the common man, a characteristic which our present-day politicians need to emulate.
For my readers, here’s some of the wisdom and wit of Will Rogers.
