Paganini And A Spiritual Principle

It is said that the great Italian violinist, Nicolò Paganini (1782-1840) willed his violin to his home city of Genoa. His bequest carried one condition — that the violin was never to be played. It was to be put on display for the public to view.

As a result, the instrument became nothing more than a decaying museum piece.

The violin should have been used regularly in order for it to have retained it’s beauty and value. The same holds true for the Christian today.

God has given us many talents, but if they are not used, they will soon deteriorate to the point where we can no longer use them.

Dear reader, the spiritual principle is this: “Use it or lose it” (Matthew 25:24-29).
