Botox Treatments For The Soul

Appearance is important to Botox users — so important in fact, that they will allow themselves to be injected time after time, so that their unkind wrinkles will disappear. However, the treatment must be administered repeatedly in order for those wrinkles to keep from coming back.

Not only is the treatment very expensive, but it also comes with possible negative side effects. Amazingly, that knowledge doesn’t seem to stop people from giving it a try so they can look better.

Physically looking good is not a bad thing in and of itself, but a more important consideration, is how we look on the inside. How much are we willing to sacrifice in order to have a beautiful godly character?

Are we willing to take Botox treatments for the soul? Are we willing to inject ourselves with the kind of loving gentleness, merciful patience, caring interest in others, unselfish kindness, and unity of spirit that can beautify our every day living? (Ephesians 4:1-3). Are we willing to keep coming back to God for help in retaining the beautiful spiritual character enhancement that we need?

Through prayer and practice, let us cultivate the character traits found in Gal. 5:22 and 2 Peter 1:1-8, daily injecting these godly traits into our life, so that the unkind wrinkles caused by sin will stay away.
