Man's Greatest Need

If man’s greatest need in life was pleasure, then God would have sent an entertainer. If man’s greatest need would have been money, then He would have sent a financial consultant. If man’s greatest need would have been for information, He would have sent an educator.

But God in His infinite wisdom, knew that man’s greatest need was forgiveness — and so He sent a "Savior" (Matthew 1:21).

Beloved, let us praise and glorify our Heavenly Father this day (and every day) for His abundant gift — our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ — “The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29; cf. John 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Gal. 1:3-4; Hebrews 1:1-3; Hebrews 2:17; Hebrews 9:28; 1 Peter 2:21-24; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 John 2:1-2; 1 John 3:5; Revelation 1:5).
