"People With Passion Can Change The World For The Better"

In this 7 minute video, the late Steve Jobs asks the following two questions regarding Apple's marketing strategy: (1) Where does Apple fit in this world? and (2) What is Apple's core value? Answer: "We believe that people with passion can change the world for the better. We believe that those people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones that actually do."

Beloved, we who are Christians should ask ourselves the same two above questions regarding Christianity's marketing strategy: (1) Where do we [Christians] fit in this world? and (2) What is Christianity's core value? Answer: "We believe that people with passion can change the world for the better. We believe that those people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones that actually do."

Were there people with such passion in the first century who were "crazy" enough to think they could change the world for the better by spreading the saving gospel of Christ throughout the then known world? (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16). Obviously so, for in Acts 17:1-6, we find some "crazy" Christians who thought they could "turn the world upside down."

And They Did! (Colossians 1:3-6,21-23 NLT; cf. Romans 10:17-18 NLT).

Over the past 60 or so years, we know that our society has dramatically changed, morally speaking (Romans 1:16-32; 2 Timothy 3:13), but Christianity's values and core values have not changed (Hebrews 13:5-8).

The question then for God's people in the 21st Century is this: "Do we possess the passion necessary to change the world for the better?" The key to our success is that we must honor fellow Christians who "think different" from the world's ungodly thinking (2 Corinthians 6:11-18) and who are willing to "move this world forward" to "think" as God thinks (Isaiah 1:18; Isaiah 43:25-26).
