There's a lot to be said regarding life, both negative and positive. For one thing, life on this planet is not easy, for we live in a harsh and cruel environment, where many times, life is not held in high esteem by our fellow man. Additionally, there are many obstacles and challenges along way, many of which are not pleasant to endure (2 Corinthians 12:7-10).

Using the inspired Scriptures as a guide, the following are ten personal observations regarding our temporary life here on earth:
- Life has a way .... of telling us that we are not as smart as we think we are (Ecclesiastes 2:1-23; Luke 12:13-21; cf. Psalm 39:6).
- Life has a way .... of humbling us in order to bring us closer to God (2 Chronicles 33:1-13; 2 Corinthians 12:7-10; cf. Psalm 119:67-71; Luke 15:11-24; Hebrews 12:5-11).
- Life has a way .... of motivating us to set proper priorities (2 Kings 20:1-6; cf. Matthew 6:33).
- Life has a way .... of causing us to inwardly reflect on our life (Luke 15:11-17; cf. 2 Corinthians 13:5).
- Life has a way .... of eventually working out all circumstances for our benefit (Genesis 50:14-22; Esther 3-9; Acts 16:16-34; cf. Romans 8:28).
- Life has a way .... of telling us that a godly lifestyle is the best lifestyle (contrast Deuteronomy 6:24-25; Deuteronomy 10:12-13; 1 Timothy 4:7-8; 1 Timothy 6:5-6) with (Romans 1:18-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
- Life has a way .... of teaching us that victory does not always belong to the swift, but to those who are steadfast (1 Corinthians 15:58; cf. Colossians 2:5; Hebrews 3:6,14).
- Life has a way .... of making proper distribution of God's blessings (Acts 2:41-45; Acts 4:31-35; 2 Corinthians 8:1-15; cf. Malachi 3:8-13).
- Life has a way .... of teaching us that there is a Supreme Being, and He is in complete control (Daniel 4-5; cf. Acts 17:24-26; Colossians 1:16-17; Hebrews 1:1-3).
- Life has a way .... of motivating us to seek eternal things (1 Corinthians 15:12-22; Hebrews 11:1-16,32-40; cf. Colossians 3:1-4; Hebrews 12:1-2).
