We Haven't Followed The Rules!

Have we ever thought why there is so much religious division in the world? How many times have we heard folks say, "I don't believe it is possible for everyone to see the Bible alike?" We hear it almost every day.

Dear reader, what an insult to God's divine intelligence! We can all see the rules of baseball, football, and basketball alike, can't we? Why is that, do you suppose? Because each of these sports has its own rule book. Everyone reads the rules of that specific rule book, and plays by those rules exactly as they are written!

Let's say we were to send the American football rulebook to Japan with the goal of their being able to play football by the same exact rules as American football players. If the Japanese football players played by the same exact rules as listed in the American football rulebook, would not they play football exactly in the same manner that American football players do? Of course they would!

So, let's ask ourselves, "Why can't God write a rule book on how to live a godly life, how to properly worship, how to be saved, etc. so that everyone can see it alike?" The answer is, He has! — the God-inspired (breathed) Bible! (2 Timothy 3:16 ASV). The problem is that people haven't followed God's rule book! We haven't followed the rules! (as God's Holy Spirit through the inspired prophets and apostles have written them (2 Peter 1:16-21).

If we'll diligently read and study God's word by His rules and His rules alone, we'll see the Bible alike (2 Timothy 2:15 ASV - footnote - "holding a straight course in the word of truth"). Also note Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:6; Revelation 22:18-19).
