A "What We Are Saved By" List

There is much confusion in the religious world as to the avenues of our salvation as described in the Bible. Through the use of a good concordance (this writer used Young’s Analytical Concordance), this confusion can be alleviated. The following is a “what we are saved by” list. Although this is certainly not an exhaustive list, it does illustrate several avenues of our salvation.

• Hope (Romans 8:24 KJV).
• The Gospel (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:1-2).
• Grace Through Faith (Acts 15:11; Ephesians 2:5,8).
• Baptism (Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21).
• Believing On The Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30-31).
• The Love Of The Truth (2 Thessalonians 2:10).
• His (God’s) Mercy (Titus 3:5).
• Our Faith (Luke 7:50; Luke 18:42).
• Our Belief (Mark 16:16; Luke 8:12; Romans 10:9).
• Christ’s Testimony (John 5:34).
• The Lord (Acts 2:47).
• The Preaching Of The Cross (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 1:18).
• Confessing That God Raised Christ From The Dead (Romans 10:9).
• The Power Of God (2 Timothy 1:8-9).
• Being In The Body (church) Of Christ (Ephesians 5:23).
• Enduring To The End (Matthew 10:22; Mark 13:13; Revelation 2:10).
• Entering In Through The Door (Christ – John 10:9).
• Calling On The Name Of The Lord (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:13).
• His (Christ’s) Life (Romans 5:10).
• Repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10).
• Hearing and Believing The Gospel (Romans 10:13-14; Ephesians 1:13; 1 Timothy 4:16).
