The 5 Marks Of Authentic Leadership

Authentic leadership is an integral part of a successful Christian life (Joshua 1:1-11; Joshua 24:14-31). Michael Hyatt, former Chairman and CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers, the seventh largest trade book publishing company in the U.S., presents "The 5 Marks of Authentic Leadership" in podcast format.

Authentic leadership has five marks or characteristics (I’ve added appropriate Scriptures):

1) Authentic leaders have insight  — Peter did (Matthew 16:13-16).

2) Authentic leaders demonstrate initiative — Caleb did (Joshua 14:6-15).

3) Authentic leaders exert influence  — The Thessalonian brethren did (1 Thessalonians 1).

4) Authentic leaders have impact  — Paul, Silas, Jason and other brethren did (Acts 17:1-9).

5) Authentic leaders exercise integrity — Job did (Job 2:9-10; Job 13:15; Job 27:1-5).
