Anyone who has read this blog for any length of time, knows that I love human interest stories. Today, I read another great human interest story about Kevin Hawkins, a young man who has Down Syndrome, but doesn't allow that malady to slow him down one bit.
For the past 20 years, Kevin has been sacking groceries for the same supermarket without hardly missing a day at work. His impressive work ethic was taught to him by his late father. Not only does Kevin have an infectious personality at the supermarket, but also at the local police department, where he volunteers each week.
After reading the above article and watching the news video about Kevin's infectious spirit, this writer came away with a more positive outlook on life. Dear reader, after watching the video from the above link, see if you don't come away with a more positive outlook on life as well.
Kevin's story reminded me of what Solomon recorded in Ecclesiastes 9:10 NET: "Whatever you find to do with your hands, do it with all your might...."
Like Kevin, let's have a good work ethic and infectious personality!
