Since the creation, God has provided everything needed for man to sustain himself, as well as all living things (Genesis 1; Acts 17:24-28). Additionally, He has provided man with various abilities and opportunities (Matthew 25:14-29), not only to better himself, but to help others as well (Acts 2:44-45; Acts 4:32-37).
Thus, God richly deserves all glory and honor (Romans 11:36; 2 Corinthians 4:15; Philippians 4:19; Hebrews 2:10; Revelation 4:11; Revelation 5:13) because of the innumerable benefits He has provided for mankind (Psalm 68:19; Psalm 103:2; Psalm 116:12). The greatest benefit being in the form of Jesus Christ, His Son (John 3:16-17).
But how many folks in our world are appreciative of their God-given talents, abilities and opportunities? How many people give God the proper glory and honor for what heights of greatness they may achieve in this life? Do they willingly give God the credit as the Source of their achievements?
Sad to say, not many do, but on that final Judgment Day, all men will not only give an account of their deeds here on earth, but will also give proper honor and glory to God the Father.
Paul tells us in Romans 14:10-12 ASV:
"....for we shall all stand before the judgment-seat of God. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, And every tongue shall confess to God. So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God" (cf. Isaiah 45:23 ASV).
Paul goes on to say in Philippians 2:5-11 ASV:
"Every tongue" should confess "that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father."
To God be the glory!
