A Look At Indecision

There is probably more harm resulting from the lack of decision than from the wrong decision (1 Kings 18:21). The secret is to distinguish between the inability to make a decision and the wisdom of waiting for new information or evidence.

In some circumstances, a decision cannot be given at the moment, but in many instances, it is possible and advantageous to make up our minds one way or the other more promptly than we do (note the indecision of folks at a four-way stop intersection).

As Shakespeare,  the great English poet and playwright once stated:

If it were done, when ’tis done, then ’twere well it were done quickly” (source).

The postponement of a decision for the sake of further study is desirable, but sheer procrastination needlessly delays action and invites frustration.
