Are You "Tweeting"?

One of the most popular social networking web sites on the Internet is “Twitter” (see tutorial).  It is a service that enables its users to send and read each others’ updates, known as “tweets.” Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters, displayed on the author’s profile page and delivered to other users known as “followers.”

Twitter is an excellent medium by which you can track local traffic updates, local news, state news and world news. You can also keep track of your favorite sports team both locally and nationally. For parents who have children in school, you can know what's happening in your local school district. Some teachers even post tweets on what their class is studying in their classroom (see video).

Twitter is a very informative and useful service. If you haven’t tried it yet, sign up and test it out! It’s a great way to keep everyone in your social circle informed of what you are accomplishing on a daily basis. It’s especially profitable for those who have blogs of a spiritual nature to keep their readership informed of their latest articles and updates.

If you have a desire to follow my latest blog updates, please check out Twitter. I go by the screen name “biblesprofessor."

God bless you and yours in His service — and happy “Tweeting”!
