God Seeks "Thinking" Men And Women

Spiritually speaking, God has no use for a remote controlled robot. Rather, He seeks men and women with the ability to think and reason (Isaiah 1:18; cf. Acts 17:2; Acts 18:4; Acts 18:19; Acts 24:25).

The Christian’s “living sacrifice to God,” is presented as a “reasonable service” — a service that is rational and offered by good reasoning capabilities (Romans 12:1) — a service that transforms an individual by the "renewing of the mind" (Romans 12:2; cf. Ephesians 4:20-24; Colossians 3:10).

When individuals desire to think right, they will be found "meditating" on God’s law (Psalm 1:2) and acting according to its precepts (1 Thessalonians 1:2-6). They will consider God’s unspeakable gift and offer praise with thanksgiving to God (2 Corinthians 9:15; Psalm 95:1-3). And they will realize the worth of a soul, and seek to save the souls of men (Matthew 16:26; Proverbs 11:30).

As a result, heaven rejoices over these thinking men and women in service to God (Acts 5:40-42).
