A health resource site on the Internet lists the following five fatal diseases: Heart Attack, Cancer, Stroke, Lung Disease and Diabetes.
Spiritually speaking, all of us are infected with the fatal disease of sin (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23). However, there is a cure. It resides in the cleansing power of Jesus Christ’s shed blood (Ephesians 1:7; cf. Hebrews 9:12; Acts 22:16).
Paul wrote to the brethren at Rome:
“Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him” (Romans 5:9).
The righteous wrath of God against transgression has been fully satisfied through Jesus’ death in our place (2 Corinthians 5:21; cf. Isaiah 53:6; 1 Peter 2:21-24).
All we need do is willingly "repent" (Acts 17:30) and render obedience to the saving gospel of Christ (cf. Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16; Acts 8:26-39) in order to receive the spiritual cure for sin.
Dear reader, have we made that decision yet? If not, what are we waiting for? “Now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
