We Are Saved To The "Uttermost"

When we read Hebrews 7:25, we usually think of the Lord’s ability to save the lost sinner from sin. In fact, He is more than able to save every penitent believer who draws nigh to God through obedience to Him (James 4:8-10 KJV; cf. 1 Peter 1:22-23).

He is able to deliver us from sin to the fullest degree possible (note the word, “uttermost” in Hebrews 7:25) and carry us through all temptations, trials, persecutions, and conflicts until He presents us "faultless" before the throne (Jude 1:24; cf. Colossians 1:21-23).

Thus, let us look to Jesus, the "author and finisher of our faith" (Hebrews 12:2), for He is indeed able to save to the "uttermost those who draw nigh to God through Him.
