Anyone who has dealt with Johnsongrass, knows that it is a weed that spreads rapidly and almost impossible to eradicate (see article under heading Propagation).
A few years later, the boy fell in love and married the farmer’s only daughter. Shortly thereafter, the old man died, and the boy inherited the farm.
He spent the rest of his life fighting Johnsongrass!
