"Pass The Salt"

Just a few moments ago, I received an email from one of my Christian friends with this link and video entitled, "Pass The Salt."

The video shows a family sitting down together to eat a meal. However, the two boys of the family get so distracted by their Smartphones, that they are not listening to what their dad asks them to do, "pass the salt."  Instead, the pepper shaker is passed to the dad.

Spiritually speaking, I'm wondering if our Heavenly Father gets frustrated with us, when he asks us to "pass the salt" (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV; cf. 1 Peter 1:24-25), and instead we "pass the pepper" (1 John 2:15-17 KJV), which will not long endure, just because we're not "listening."
