Standing Stubborn And Firm On God's Truth

It was preacher and author A. W. Tozer, who said, “Little by little evangelical Christians these days are being brainwashed. One evidence is that increasing numbers of [Christians] are becoming ashamed to be found unequivocally on the side of truth. They say they believe, but their beliefs have been so diluted as to be impossible of clear definition” (source).

The apostle Paul knew “Whom” he believed, and he instructed Timothy to “hold fast” to the truth he had received from him [Paul] (2 Timothy 1:12-13).

As children of God, let us hold on tightly to our faith based on the unfailing and unchanging God-inspired Bible (Romans 10:17; Hebrews 13:5-9; 2 Timothy 3:16).

As A. W. Tozer so aptly stated:

Moral power has always accompanied definitive beliefs. Great saints have always been dogmatic. We need right now a return to a gentle dogmatism that smiles while it stands stubborn and firm on the Word of God that liveth and abideth forever” (source).
