People Are Starving For Face-To-Face Conversation!

In my daily interaction with people, I'm observing that many folks are literally starving for face-to-face conversation (including myself). For example, I talked this morning at breakfast with my good Christian friend, John, for a good two plus hours conversing about everything from the daily problems our families are having; to the characteristics of God; to the providence of God, and how He interacts with us as His people.

We discussed the needs of the Lord's church and how we as members can better serve our brothers and sisters in Christ; how we can better serve our fellow man, and in so doing, how we can better serve our heavenly Father.

Beloved, you just can't beat an honest face-to-face conversation! Texting won't get the job done. Calling on our Smart Phones won't get the job done. Emailing won't get the job done.

In fact, we need to put our Smart Phones and computers away (at least for a period of time); refrain from getting on Facebook and Twitter (or any other online social media), and learn to once again communicate with our fellow man face-to-face, eyeball to eyeball (Luke 19:1-10).

There are people in our world who desperately are searching for God's truth (Acts 8:26-39; cf. John 17:17; Psalm 119:160), but we have to establish and build a personal relationship with real people in real time in order for us to help them discover that truth.

Beloved, let us strive to build real relationships in real time, face-to-face, built on trust and a sincere desire to help people find their way to heaven (Acts 10; Acts 16:14-40; Acts 18:24-28), remembering that no man is an island (Romans 14:7-9 NLT; Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV) and we are our brother's keeper.
