Which God Will We Be Worshiping Sunday?

Which god will we be worshiping Sunday? Will it be……

• The god of ease? “Had a hard work week and I’m exhausted; gotta rest some.”

• The god of mammon? “Gotta get another dollar.”

• The god of popularity? “Folks came in from out of town; gotta stay and visit with them.”

• The god of pleasure? “Sunday is the only day I have to go fishing, bowling, golfing, etc, etc.”

• The god of selfish pride? “They don’t treat me right down there at that church – they’re all a bunch of hypocrites.”

• The God of heaven? “Because I love God and His Son who died for me, I will be in the assembly of the saints for worship, no matter what the circumstance” (John 3:16-17; 1 John 4:8-11; Romans 5:6-10; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2; Hebrews 10:23-25).

Yes, beloved, we will be worshiping one of the above gods on Sunday. The question is, which one will it be?
