Blogging And Its Many Challenges

It doesn't seem possible, but fifteen years ago today, I entered the world of blogging. Previous to that time, the very thought of writing religious articles never entered my mind. However, through an encouraging friend, I decided to take a stab at it and see what good could be accomplished. If I had known the many challenges involved in writing articles and posting them to a blog, I more than likely would have never began this blogging venture.

Not only does a blogger have to be a good writer, but a good editor and proofreader as well. Choosing the right blog template and format for the articles you write, is also a challenge. Having a good dictionary/thesaurus on hand and the use of correct grammar is indispensable, for the words you employ are important in successfully conveying your thoughts to your reading audience. From time to time, a blogger must check on any web site links he has linked to, making certain the links are still active, so the reader will not receive a 404 error message, indicating the web page either no longer exists or has been moved (a very frustrating experience!).

In writing religious articles, a blogger must be true to the Book, never swerving in accurately presenting "all" of God's truth (Acts 20:26-27; 2 Timothy 2:15 NET; 1 Peter 4:11), for as teachers, we will be judged accordingly (James 3:1 NET).

With the above thoughts in mind, the following are some basic writing principles and blogging tips for beginners. Herehere; and here are more blog and writing tips. Here are other Christian blogs and bloggers. What are the benefits of writing religious articles? Eternal benefits (Ephesians 1:3; Romans 8:10-18; Colossians 3:1-4), for our writing will not only aid ourselves in getting to heaven, but hopefully will assist other people in their finding the road to heaven (1 Timothy 4:9-16).
