As I was reading the above titled article, this morning (I agree with the author's assessment and conclusions), I immediately thought of the following Scripture:
"And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made[a] them at the beginning ‘made them male and female" (Matthew 19:4; cf. Genesis 1:27; Genesis 5:2).
Note all other scripture references to "male and female" here.
God did not create "Adam and Steve" (or any so-called "transgender"); but He did create "Adam and Eve" (Genesis 2) "in His image" (Genesis 1:27), the purpose for their existence being stated in Genesis 1:28).
Beloved, whenever we try to "change" or "improve" on God's perfect plan for man and woman, i.e., "male and female" ..... we are destined for failure (Jeremiah 10:23; Romans 1:16-32).
It is far better for us to willingly align our thinking with God's thinking than to play the role of rebel, for God knows what's best for each of us (Deuteronomy 6:16-25); and ultimately, He is the Potter and we are but clay in the Potter's hands.
