Getting To Know God

There are at least three components in getting to know someone: (1) What we say about ourselves; (2) What others say about us; (3) What we’ve done in our life.

Now, let’s make an application of the above components relative to Scripture in our getting to know God.

1) What does God say about Himself? (cf. Exodus 34:6-7; Leviticus 19:1-2; Isaiah 32:39; Isaiah 45:5-6; Jeremiah 32:27).

2) What do others say about God? (cf. Psalm 19:1-6; Romans 1:16-20; 1 John 4:8-10).

3) What has God done? (Genesis 1:1; Exodus 14:10-31; John 3:16; Ephesians 1:3-12).

Just think, through a diligent study of the Bible, the God who created us and the universe, is the God we can know! (2 Timothy 2:15; Genesis 1; Acts 17:24-28; 1 John 2:1-6).
