We all know the feeling. We’ve said or done something hurtful to someone we love dearly. The words come back echoing in our mind — we would do almost anything to be able to reach back and snatch them from the air — but we can’t. The image of the deed haunts our every waking moment.
We see ourselves committing the act again and again every time we close our eyes and there’s nothing we can do that will erase the picture. Out of desperation, we go to the loved one we’ve offended and speak the words that are sometimes difficult to say: “I was wrong, I’m so sorry, please forgive me.”
And then you hear that precious reply here.
