Is God's Word Lost Today?

There is a sense in which the Word of God is lost today. When one puts aside (or hides) any of God’s instruction, that instruction becomes of no effect to that person. The person is like many of the Jewish leaders in Christ’s day:

“For the heart of this people has grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their heart and turn, So that I should heal them” (Matthew 13:15).

The Word of God is effectively “lost” to that person.

In another sense it is “lost” to the world.
