From this writer’s initial study of the pentecostal/charismatic religious groups, I find little evidence of these groups using old testament stories to “prove” their doctrines and practices.
However, I do find them them “twisting” and “perverting” both Old and New Testament scriptures to justify their false teachings. Brother Wayne Jackson gives examples of this practice in the following articles here.
