Whatever Happened To Standing Up For What Is Right?

As the Boy Scouts of America were deciding a couple of years ago whether or not to allow gay kids and teens into their membership, this writer and disciple of Christ was praying and hoping that they would stand their ground, retain their membership guidelines, and not allow a very small segment of our society to override those guidelines.

Sad to say, according to this NBC News article, the organization that was founded by Chicago publisher William D. Boyce on February 8, 1910 (see brief history), obviously succumbed to worldly pressure from without the organization under the guise of “equality” (see article). The homosexual movement has blinded the eyes of many in our government and society in the past twenty to thirty years, by declaring that the discrimination of the homosexual is no different than discriminating against people who are of a different race or religion.

However, homosexuality and the homosexual lifestyle has absolutely nothing to do with race or religious preferences, but everything to do with human morality [a doctrine or system of morals]. That doctrine or system of morals that is found within the pages of God’s divine and inerrant Word, the Bible (see article 1 and article 2).
