After reading this story about a 3rd grade student who saw and filled a need of a fellow student, it caused me to realize that a simple act of kindness can go a long way in helping not only one person, but a multiplicity of folks.
The above story reminded me of what the apostle John said in 1 John 3:17-18 ESV:
"But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth."
Beloved, like the above 3rd grade student, let us also be willing to engage in random acts of kindness for those in need.
