Some People Just Wouldn't Be Happy In Heaven!

A Christian friend and I were talking this past Monday morning about the fact that some people just wouldn't be happy in heaven, simply because they constantly gripe, moan, groan, and complain about things they don't like here on earth.

For example, the folks who have been constantly protesting over President-elect Donald Trump's victory in the recent election, wouldn't be happy in heaven. They would probably criticize God for something they perceived wasn't right in heaven and expect Him to change the situation immediately!

Folks looking for free handouts here on earth just wouldn't be happy in heaven, for God will require them to "serve" (Revelation 7:15; Revelation 22:3). In his commentary on Revelation 22:3, brother Burton Coffman comments, "Heaven is never depicted as a place of leisure or idleness, but always as a place of activity."

The sports and entertainment (see article) crowd wouldn't be happy in heaven because they won't find such sports and entertainment in heaven. However, they will find constant worship and praise there! (Revelation 4-5,7; Revelation 15:1-4).

Beloved, only those folks who are willing to obey God and humble themselves "under the mighty hand of God" will be happy in heaven (1 Peter 5:5-6; cf. Psalm 84:8-12).
