What Can "We" Do Relative To Church Growth?

Brother Stan Mitchell, preacher for the Red Walnut congregation in Bath Springs, Tennessee, has written this article on "how" to build the church. The key word is "We" ..... What can "We" do relative to church growth?

Brother Mitchell list four ways "we" can ensure church growth:

1) "We" can ensure a converted membership, where Christians “seek first” Christ’s kingdom (Matthew 6:33).

2) "We" can be a praying membership (Ephesians 6:19).

3) "We" can be a united membership (1 Corinthians 6:7).

4) "We" can make use of our talents and opportunities (Ephesians 4:16).

Brother Mitchell then asks these two questions:

When God wanted to provide salvation for the community of Jerusalem, Ephesus or Tennessee, what did he do? What kind of “growth method” did he adopt?

Answer: He used a church made up of God's people who were willing to do the Lord's work (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Beloved, that's the "We" relative to church growth! (Ephesians 4:11-16). Note specifically vs. 16 (YLT): "....the whole body, being fitly joined together and united, through the supply of every joint, according to the working in the measure of each single part, the increase of the body...."
