The Equality Issue (Again)

American Thinker writer, Gideon Isaac, has written this article, describing the dictatorship factor of the Title IX discrimination law passed by Congress in 1972.

Mr. Isaac writes regarding equality under the above law:

"So is it really true that the interest in sports is equal between men and women? A survey was done at California State which showed that 57 percent of men were interested in participating, as opposed to 43 percent of women. But the university had to institute quotas anyway."

One solution to the Title IX discrimination law regarding inequality in college sports, is found in the comments section of the above article, provided by Melchizedek. He comments: "College sports should be eliminated, along with non-academic scholarships of all kinds and government-guaranteed student loans. Return higher education to its original purpose of educating the next generation of leaders and let the rest of the college-age population learn a trade that provides them with a reliable income."

Yes, "return higher education to its original purpose of educating the next generation of leaders." Instead of emphasizing the secular, i.e., entertainment, the Lord's church needs to focus on a similar spiritual goal, not only for our generation, but for the next generation as well (Psalm 78:1-8).

Beloved, inequality will always exist in this life (see here). True equality for both men and women, can only be found "in Christ Jesus" (Galations 3:26-29), when they are obedient to God's salvation plan — not in some nonsensical bureaucratic drivel.
