Where Is The Father And Mother?

After reading this USA Today story and this KFOX14 report of the same story, I immediately noticed that (1) there was no mention of either a father or mother of the two young people in this story, and (2) these young people obviously had far too much time on their hands.

It's sad to contemplate the fact that (1) two young lives were lost unnecessarily; one to a possible prison term, and one to death; and (2) that the two families involved, have to undergo such a terrible loss during the prime of their children's lives.

The above story makes us wonder where the father and mother of the  above two young people are, and if they are familiar with this old adage: "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
