The Out Of Sight Spending Continues

As I read this Wall Street.com article regarding the average US credit card debt (balances outstanding) being $15,983, I thought to myself, "The out of sight spending continues" (see MarketWatch article) Note that the total U.S. credit card debt is $931 billion (what a tidy sum that is!).

And notice what the average credit card interest rates are (see here). If our citizenry keeps spending uncontrollably, it won't be too long down the road before financial Armageddon becomes a reality (see article).

From a study of history (note second paragraph in this article), we know that spending ourselves into oblivion, does not end well. But as I wrote in this article, there is a solution to America's spending problem as well as credit card debt (see article).

Beloved, there's an old maxim that states, "waste not, want not." If we are willing to deny ourselves of a few material things that we actually don't need, we will have more than enough to share with others who have needs, including the saving gospel of Christ.
