"No Hope For The Diliberately And Willingly Blind"

As I read the commentary from "TwoShoes" in the comments section of this American Thinker article regarding Hillary Clinton and the fall of Yale and Harvard (see here), I noticed the following true statement regarding Ms. Clinton's true believers:

"There simply is no hope for the deliberately and willingly blind. They are too fiercely committed to their blindness."

A very true statement indeed.

Then I thought of what our Lord stated regarding spiritual blindness in the religious leaders of His day; specifically, the Pharisees and scribes (Matthew 15:1-13). Afraid that Jesus might have offended the Pharisees by His teachings, He responded to questions His disciples posed by stating:

"Let them alone: they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch" (Matthew 15:14; cf. John 9:40-41).

These blind leaders were simply deceivers of the deceived (2 Timothy 3:12-13), and thus both classes would eventually experience the same fate  (Romans 1:16-18; Ephesians 5:6).

But, praise God, there is a cure for spiritual blindness (see here).

The question is, will those who need the cure, avail themselves of the cure?

Beloved, let us, who are followers of Christ, never be classified as "the blind leading the blind" (see here).
