Telling And Upholding God's Truth

Oscar Wilde once stated this well-known truism: "Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth" (source).

Beloved, if we are wearing a mask of any kind, let us be willing to take off our masks and tell and uphold the truth, no matter what the setting is. Known as the first Christian martyr, Stephen was willing to pay the ultimate price for telling and upholding God's truth in the 1st Century (Acts 7; cf. Revelation 2:10).

The question is, are we as Christians in the 21st Century, willing to pay the ultimate price for telling and upholding God's truth without the benefit of any mask?
