Where True Peace Can Be Found

People of the world are constantly looking for inward peace, but they are looking in the wrong places. Peace is not found in acquiring more “things (Luke 12:15), nor is it found in entertainment or pleasure (Hebrews 11:24-25).

Where can true peace be found? Paul says in Philippians 4, that it can be found as our from-the-heart prayers are voiced to God (Philippians 4:6). By trustful praying, we unburden our hearts and divest our anxieties, releasing the grip on any inward turmoil or grief that we may have.

When we do, we immediately gain “the peace of God” (Philippians 4:7) — a divine calmness of spirit. God’s peace provides a guard on our heart — a protection which allows us to whisper above any pain or sorrow that we may experience — “It is well with my soul.
