Do We Know Where Our Master Is?

While taking my daily walk this morning, I noticed a lady getting out of her parked car with her two German Shepherd mix dogs. The dogs were ecstatic at being able to run freely without any hindrances at our local community park.

However, interestingly enough, the dogs only ran for approximately one hundred yards before coming to an immediate stop. They turned around and quickly returned to the vicinity where their master was. They innately knew not to stray too far from their master, for they knew their master was the source which provided them with everything they needed to have an abundant life (Matthew 6:24-34; cf. Philippians 4:19 NLT).

Thus, they knew exactly where their master was at all times during their free-spirited run. Sad to say, the nation of Israel did not know (Isaiah 1:3; Jeremiah 8:7 NLT).

Beloved, as God's people today, do we know where our Master is? (Acts 17:24-27; cf. Deuteronomy 4:29; Psalm 145:18 NLT). Also see Psalm 139:1-12 NLT.
