After looking at
this Inside Edition article (along with video), regarding the late comedian,
Jerry Lewis' illegitimate homeless daughter, this writer thought, "How in the world could a man who emceed the yearly MDA Labor Day Telethon for over 40 years (
see here), with an estate worth an estimated $50 million, not have any regard or a show of compassion for his born out of wedlock daughter, Susan, who today lives on the streets?"
The answer is that sometimes
men and money make strange bedfellows (and in this case, an
illegitimate one).
Regarding the above story, the question we might ask ourselves is this:
Is money our servant or our master? (Also see
this article). Obviously, money was Jerry Lewis' master, with no regard for his
conscience at all. Also, see
here.
