
Of the betrayer Judas, our Lord stated, "....but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had never been born" (Mark 14:21; cf. Matthew 26:24).
When we divorce our spouse for any reason other than marital infidelity (Matthew 5:32; 19:9), are we not betraying the vows we took before God and man that we would be faithful to our spouse until death? (Romans 7:1-2).
Just as Bowie Bergdahl betrayed the oath of enlistment that he took before entering into the army.
Beloved, the bottom line is this: Being a betrayer, whether it be to a country or to an individual, does not end well (Hebrews 13:4).
