"Being Human Means Assuming Responsibility"

The above titled statement comes from the thoughts of American Thinker writer, Taylor Lewis, as he writes about America's root disease ..... that being An Aversion to Responsibility. He writes about the aversion to responsibility involving the younger generation, as I wrote in this article, regarding Ivy League students.

But not only the younger generation (see here), but according to Mr. Lewis' good article, the Supreme Court, federal government, politicians, sports figures, and Americans in general (see AT article). And the ultimate irresponsibility is found in the form of recent suicides (Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain). Also see articles here, here, and here.

Perhaps our aversion to responsibility comes about because, as Mr. Lewis writes, "It's hard to be responsible when you're ducking ownership of your own actions for fear of failure." However, Mr. Lewis presents the only solution to ducking ownership of our actions by stating: "But just as the dog returns to its vomit, the troubles caused by responsibility avoidance return as well.  They can't be escaped by running – only by confronting them head on."

You've hit the nail on the head, Mr. Lewis. Our troubles can't be escaped by running; but by confronting them head on. In other words, we have to assume individual responsibility (see here). We accomplish this by going to our Heavenly Father with our problems in prayer (see herehere and here), handing them over to Him (see here). Then, we meditate on and daily search the scriptures for inspired answers to our problems.

Also being involved with the perfect support group, is vital in light of solving our problems. In order to find this support group, we need to contact the local church of Christ in our area for assistance (see here and here). May God richly bless us as we assume responsibility, not only for our problems, but for our eternal soul as well.
