If Money Could Make One Happy.......

If money could make one happy, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos should be the happiest man on earth (see here), but is he? Not according to the following two articles here and here. According to the second article, Mr. Bezos' 25 year marriage is in disarray. It would thus behoove him to learn about the sanctity of marriage.

Mr. Bezos needs to also learn what this writer learned many years ago about how to lead a successful life here on earth, i.e., to incorporate these three life principles into his daily life and living. Mr. Bezos needs to understand about the deceitfulness of riches, which the eleven millionaires on the ill-fated Titanic fully understood, as they were sinking into a watery grave on April 15, 1912 (see article).

Beloved, happiness is a choice! The Apostle Paul actively chose to be happy and joyful, even when he found himself and his co-worker in an inner prison (Acts 16:16-25 - note vs. 25). The principle that Paul employed, is the same exact principle in Philippians 4:10-11 (NET) that followers of Christ should employ, specifically noting vs. 11: ....."for I have learned to be content in any circumstance."

The question becomes, "Is it possible to be content?" Yes, it is "if" we understand what the inspired Apostle Paul fully understood in Philippians 4:13; Galations 2:20 NLT. He realized that without Christ, he could never be truly happy (see here and here), but with his reliance on Christ, he could be the happiest man on earth (because of future expectations -- Philippians 1:20-23; cf. Hebrews 11:23-27).

Paul fully realized the importance of the truth that our Lord expressed in Matthew 6:19-21 regarding money and possessions ..... by what he expressed in 1 Timothy 6:17-19; Colossians 3:1-4 ..... and by what Jesus expressed in Luke 12:15 (NET): "Watch out and guard yourself from all types of greed, because one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."

The bottom line is this for Mr. Bezos: He desperately needs to learn and incorporate the above biblical principles and truths into his everyday life and living in order to find true happiness, not only here on earth, but in the hereafter as well.
