Technological Revolution In Education --- Surface Or In-Depth Study?

As I read this American Thinker article regarding the technological revolution in education and it's subsequent video links, I thought about the fact that all of the video links in the article simply represent a "surface" study of past world history and events (note the total amount of minutes in each presentation) ..... not an "in-depth" study such as a physical history book or even an in-depth video would provide .

The same holds true with a study of the Bible. Surface study just simply won't get the job done as far as student retention of any information presented. Most of the short videos in the above American Thinker article are simply for entertainment purposes only ..... nothing more, nothing less.

However, when one teaches the material and information found in the Bible to others (Romans 2:17-29; 2 Timothy 2:1-2 NLT), the person teaching retains the information much longer and will be better able to make personal application of the material longer (see here), thus better able to share that information and personal application with others

This is why the Lord's church was designed to be a teaching unit (see here). In the past sixty years, the church has failed in being such a unit due to worldly distractions such as this article title indicates.

This condition is something the Lord's church needs to seriously ponder.
