According to this National Review article, the shame of teachers unions is they have (1) fought for teachers to get paid for not working and (2) the placement of children's well-being and education are low on their list of priorities (see AT article).According to conservative television host Laura Ingraham, teachers unions are proving themselves to be 'non-essential' to parents (see article - scroll down page). The blame game is another reason (see here).
Also in this article, Ms. Ingraham states: “Pretty much every pediatric specialist that I have seen believes this ‘100 percent distance learning’ approach is a total disaster" ..... and “It is terrible for all children and all parents, but especially for at-risk kids from single-parent families.”
Beloved, teachers unions in our nation would have never been necessary to begin with had it not been for one small word ..... greed! Also see this article regarding academic laziness.
Ms. Ingraham states (see Fox News YouTube video): "Here's the bottom line regarding the opening of our schools ..... Schools are where children learn, grow, interact, and actually have fun. Children desperately need the rhythm of school back, this normalcy to return."
There are also negative factors regarding children and teachers not returning to school that Ms. Ingraham lists towards the end of the above video as well. Also note CDC policy to derail opening schools here.
