What Kind Of Men Are We?

From time to time, we need to examine ourselves by the mirror of God’s Word (2 Corinthians 13:5; James 2:22-24), to see what kind of men we are:
  • Are we men of deep convictions? (Jeremiah 4:19; Acts 20:17-27).
  • Are we men of boldness? (2 Samuel 12:1-13; Acts 4:13-20; Philippians 1:20).
  • Are we men of character and integrity? (Philippians 2:12-16; 1 Peter 2:12).
  • Are we men who do not fear reprisals? (Acts 7; Hebrews 11:32-38).
  • Are we men who are not willing to compromise? (1 Kings 22).
  • Are we men who are willing to suffer for the cause of Christ? (2 Corinthians 11:23-30; Philippians 3:4-8; cf. 2 Timothy 3:12).
  • Are we men of grief and compassion? (Isaiah 53:3; Jeremiah 8:18; Matthew 23:37; Romans 10:1; 1 Corinthians 9:22).
  • Are we men who are not afraid to proclaim God’s judgment? (Isaiah 5; Isaiah 65:1-7; Micah 3:8-12; Romans 2:1-11).
  • Are we men who are not afraid to rebuke sin? (Matthew 14:1-12; Acts 5:1-11; Acts 8:18-24).
  • Are we men who are not afraid to speak out on morality and ethics? (Amos 5:1-15; 1 Corinthians 5).
  • Are we men who have a “never give up” attitude? (Joshua 14:6-15; Jeremiah 20:7-9).
  • Are we men of the Book? (1 Timothy 4:13-16; 2 Timothy 4:1-5; Titus 1:7-9; Titus 2:1).
