Christians Must Avoid The "No Care Zone"

In past years, we've experienced "The Twilight Zone" and the "No Spin Zone." But in today's society, we are now experiencing the "No Care Zone." This zone is made up of people who no longer care about other people; who no longer care about themselves (sloppily dressed); who no longer care about morality; who no longer care about taking care of the infrastructure of our cities (trash everywhere); and the list goes on and on.

Regarding the non-caring society of Jesus' day, Jesus forewarned:

"You will soon hear about wars and threats of wars, but don’t be afraid. These things will have to happen first, but that isn’t the end. Nations and kingdoms will go to war against each other. People will starve to death, and in some places there will be earthquakes. But this is just the beginning of troubles. You will be arrested, punished, and even killed. Because of me, you will be hated by people of all nations. Many will give up and will betray and hate each other. Many false prophets will come and fool a lot of people. Evil will spread and cause many people to stop loving others" (Matthew 24:6-12 CEV).

The inspired apostle Paul told young Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:12-13 CEV: "Everyone who wants to live as God desires, in Christ Jesus, will be persecuted. But people who are evil and cheat others will go from bad to worse. They will fool others, but they will also be fooling themselves."

Because history repeats itself, we are seeing the same type of events happening around the world today, as well as the same type of unloving and uncaring people. Because of our Lord's above warning, and because the eternal souls of men are at stake, we as Christians must avoid the "No Care Zone" at all costs.

Beloved, the price paid for our soul (Acts 20:28; Revelation 1:5; cf. Hebrews 9:13-14; 1 John 1:7), and the souls of lost people, dictate that we must care! Have we today thought about our souls and the souls of others?

May God grant us the kind of caring love found in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7; 1 Thessalonians 1 NCV), and may we never stop loving others and their eternal souls (1 Corinthians 9:22; Galations 6:10 NET).
