Bits, Pieces, And Waste

One of the "bits" in the above title, has to do with this KVIA article regarding the El Paso School District's vote to audit one of their own because of a possible conflict of interest. This writer's question is why spend more taxpayer's hard-earned money in hiring an external auditor when there are internal auditors already in place on the district's payroll who should already know the conflict of interest laws? And to achieve transparency, why not promote honesty at all levels of the school district, hiring honest people to do the job they were hired and elected to do? (including school board trustees).

Another "bit" is regarding this USA Today article stating that 94% of women in Hollywood saying they have experienced some form of sexual misconduct from men. My question for these (and all other) ladies is, what's wrong with the use of the word "NO" if you experience unwanted advances by men and mean it? (see here).

And another pertinent question to these ladies might be, do you wear revealing clothing (this is the "pieces" in the above title) as you interact with the men you associate with? Know that immodesty is a contributor to lust (see here). And by the way, ladies, see the other side of the sexual harassment coin here, and here.

The "waste" referred to in the above title has to do with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos investing forty-two million dollars in a 10,000 year clock (see here). Couldn't this money be better invested in something actually worthwhile (like helping homeless folks for example? - see here and here). And what if the Lord were to return one second from now? (see here). That 10,000 year clock would be immediate history (see here).

Beloved, we really need to look at the priorities of life and focus on what's really important in life (see here), and that is to one day see ourselves and others in that heavenly realm. By comparison, all other things in this life are virtually insignificant and not worth mentioning (see here and here).
