Conclusions Regarding Bickering, Enticement And Digital Tracking

Regarding bickering, after reading these NPR news articles here, here, and here, regarding the constant bickering between the Congress and the White House, and the resignation of Justice Department officials, my conclusion is the same as the conclusion that Jesus arrived at in Matthew 12:25; Mark 3:25; Luke 11:17, when He stated: "A house divided against itself will not stand" (or its derivative). In other words, any family, state, or kingdom (including our government) that is at war with itself, will soon be destroyed (see article).

Regarding enticement, we know about the recent news regarding various men resigning their positions of power over sexual harassment/misconduct allegations (see here), but on the other side of the coin, we have women doing the same thing, even to the point of having sexual liaisons with minors (see here and here). So, we have both men and women being sexual predators (ladies, it's not just the men who are guilty!). Also, consider young women falsely accusing young men of rape (see here).

Regarding digital tracking, From this USA Today article, technology guru, Jefferson Graham tells us that if we have a mobile phone device, "Your mobile phone already tracks every move you make, thanks to GPS and the location tracking feature on most apps. When you surf online on your computer, Google, Amazon, Facebook and others know which websites you went to, how long you spent there, what you clicked on, with whom you interacted with, which stores you spent money with and more." In fact, any device that is connected to the Internet, is now (or soon will be) peering into our private lives (see here) -- nothing will be sacred anymore -- not even in the confines of our bedroom (shades of George Orwell's 1984 - see overview).

Beloved, by looking at the above conclusions, we can fully understand that we live in a very volatile and violent world -- one that is undergoing constant change -- and certainly not for the better (2 Timothy 3:10-13 NET; cf. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12). What should we do during these perilous times? The bottom paragraph contained in this article provides the biblical answer.
